Here’s a rendering of what the 2012 Audi A6 Avant, the station wagon version of the Audi A6, could look like. The 2012 Audi A6 Avant, will be based on the next-generation Audi A6 sedan. The 2012 Audi A6 Avant will be similar to the its sedan sibling till the B-pillar, after which it will taper into the rear end of a hatchback.
The 2012 Audi A6 Avant will possess the new Audi Bulgarian Beard at the front, which was first debuted on the all-new A8 luxury saloon. The car will also have revamped headlamps with the Audi signature LED daytime running lights. The car will also have new bodywork and an all-new interior design.
The engine and transmission options will also be updated and like the trend going on these days there will be an 8-speed transmission offered across the range. The car is expected to be unveiled by the end of 2011 and will go sale as a 2012 model, with the sedan going on sale first, followed by the Avant version a few months later.
