The Korean manufacturer Hyundai seems to busy churning out model after model. The car is question today is the new Hyundai Azera sold as the Grandeur in many markets. The prototype car as seen in the pic is expected to hit the market in early 2011 (as the 2012 model) and will be positioned between the Hyundai Sonata and the Genesis.
The currently running Azera is slightly wider and longer than the Sonata and the interiors are well appointed. It is based on the Sonata’s platform and the top-end variant comes with a 3.8-liter V6 petrol engine. One can also buy the Azera with a 2.2-liter CRDI engine.
The 2012 Azera features an extremely wide grill which will probably be chrome plated and a more coupe like body.
The 2012 Azera is expected to be powered by 2 different V6s – a 263-hp 3.8-liter or a 234-hp 3.3-liter mated to a 6 speed automatic.
