The Renault Talisman Estate has been officially revealed ahead of its world premiere at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (2015 IAA) next month. The design and styling, as speculated with a rendering last month, are same as the saloon version. The estate version has the same dimensions as the saloon version; it’s 4.86 m long, 1.87 m wide and 1.46 m tall, and it has a wheelbase of 2.81 m. On the roof, there are polished aluminum roof bars going smoothly with the sweeping roofline that is extended by a lip spoiler.
The Talisman Estate offers 572 litres (VDA) of load space and up to the parcel shelf and a maximum load length of 1,116 mm. On folding the rear seats, the load length increases to 2,010 mm, equivalent of 1,700 litres (VDA) in terms of volume. The powered tailgate can be activated simply by waving the foot underneath the rear bumper.
Most of comfort and technology features from the saloon version are carried over, including 10-way adjustable (8-way electrically) seats, massage function, R-Link 2 infotainment system, Bose Surround Sound music system and more. The estate version gets two new features. First is integrated ventilation and second is ‘Cover Carving Technology’ that frees up extra space, including more than 3 cm of extra knee room for rear passengers.
