The second generation Toyota Aygo has been very popular in Europe and to explore its customisation possibilities, Toyota unveiled two modified models – Aygo x-clusiv and Aygo x-play concept, at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (2015 IAA).
The Toyota Aygo x-clusive sports an Electro Grey exterior paint scheme which is contrasted by silver elements, and features the brand’s x-wave electrically retracting canvas roof for more individuality. It sits on 15-inch alloy wheels that feature a five-spoke pattern, machine-faced finish, a silver centre cap and centre ring finished in piano black. Other details include ‘X’ graphic in the front, chrome detailing on the window line, front and rear bumper inserts, front pillar extensions and a rear privacy glass.
The Electro Grey theme has been carried over to the cabin with the centre cluster, air vents and gear lever surrounds featuring it. The door handles are finished in chrome while the instrument cluster and the floor mats get silver inserts.
The Aygo now features the addition of the Toyota Safety Sense package of active safety technologies which have been designed to help prevent or mitigate collisions. The package includes a laser-controlled Pre-Collision System, Pre-Crash Brake Assist, Forward Collision Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking and Lane Departure Alert.
The Aygo x-play concept’s clever customisation possibilities include use of 10 changeable parts and various paint schemes and finishes to create eye catching contrasts.
The Toyota Aygo x-play concept sports a Cyan Splash exterior paint scheme with White Flash colour for the roof. The front pillars, bumper trim, door mirrors and the rear bumper inserts are also finished in White Flash colour scheme. It sits on 15-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels that are finished in white and have Cyan Splash centre caps. The exterior colour theme has been carried over inside the cabin with the dashboard featuring the Cyan Splash colour scheme and White Flash trim inserts.
