We had reported yesterday on the Kia GT Concept could receive an update and be showcased at an international motorshow this year or early next year.
A new report in KoreanCarBlog says that the website spoke to the Overseas PR Manager of Kia Michael Choo regarding this matter. He said that the production of the Kia GT Sports sedan is still not confirmed and added that no such vehicle will be unveiled at a motorshow this year or early next year.
It was rumoured that Kia had built an updated version of the GT Concept showcased at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. The revamped GT Concept could be virtually production ready, it was claimed.
The GT Concept was Kia’s first ever rear wheel drive vehicle, featuring a Lamda V6 3.3L T-GDi Turbocharged engine that produced 395 PS and 534 Nm of torque. It featured a distinctive front with LED headlights and a copper signature line that runs from the base of the A-pillar to the rear. The concept also featured an aeronautical themed propeller styled wheels made from carbon fibre and jet themed rear view cameras.
