The next-generation 2016 Audi A4’s front fascia and interior have been revealed in a batch of photos leaked by Chinese automotive website AutoHome. Unexpectedly, the headlamps are totally different from that of the latest-generation Audis like the Q7 or R8. The headlamp is sort of tapered inwards in the bottom from about mid-way. LED turn indicators and daytime running lights are also visible inside. The interior edge of the front air vent is now shaped parallel to the front grille which has also been refreshed in line with the latest-generation Audi design.
The dashboard follows footsteps of the all-new Q7 with the continuous air-vent layout. The Audi MMI infotainment system display is now mounted on the dashboard as seen in the brand’s latest generation cars. There’s no Virtual Cockpit here but the production model may feature it, depending on the variant. The gear selector, MMI control knob and most of the other interior elements seem to be borrowed from the 2015 Audi Q7, with of course some tweaks wherever needed.
The 2016 Audi A4 will have debut at the 2015 International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt and go on sale by the end of this year or in early 2016.
