The fourth generation Audi A4‘s first range-topping variant S4 will be unveiled alongside the standard A4 saloon and A4 Avant at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA 2015) in September, as per a report from Automobilwoche.
Though the report doesn’t specifically state this, the saloon and Avant versions should be unveiled concurrently.
The all-new S4 saloon and Avant should be offered with the same engine specifications as now. The 3.0-litre TFSI supercharged V6 petrol engine from the currently sold model will continue, albeit with a power upgrade from 333 hp to at least 350 hp, according to a recent report. Transmission options could include 6-speed manual and 7-speed S tronic.
Apart from a sportier exterior and interior, the all-new S4 will gain new features like Matrix LED headlights with dynamic turn signals, Audi virtual cockpit with 12.3-inch LCD screen, head-up display, and MMI Navigation plus infotainment based on second generation modular infotainment platform with 8.3-inch screen and MMI touch and natural voice-control system.
The 2016 Audi S4 saloon and S4 Avant should go on sale alongside the standard A4 saloon and Avant, by late-2015 in Europe, and a year later in the US and Canada.
