An interior picture of the 2016 BMW 7 Series (codename – BMW G11/G12) has been leaked, revealing the steering wheel and the instrument cluster of the car, as per a latest report from BimmerToday. The sixth-generation flagship sedan adopts a digital instrument cluster. Apparently, the car was doing 36 km/h when this picture was clicked. The tachometer shows “SPORT” lettering lit in red colour, meaning that the car was being driven in Sport mode.
There’s also a digital clock and temperature display between the speedometer and the tachometer. While many would say it to be a fully digital one, the instrument cluster actually seems to be semi-digital.
The prototype does not hint at anything spectacular like what the next-gen Prologue-inspired Audi A8 would offer or the latest-gen Mercedes-Benz S-Class already offers. The centre of the steering wheel has been redesigned with an oval sort-of shape. The layout of the multi-function buttons more or less, remains the same. The new steering wheel looks more upmarket than the current one with the silver/chrome accents on the struts.
The 2016 BMW 7 Series is likely to make its debut at the 2015 International Motor Show in Frankfurt on September 15.
