Following its official announcement last friday, the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible has been leaked through the company’s U.S. website. A Camaro6 forum member EstebanVerde managed to get these images from Chevrolet.com while they were posted for sometime and then pulled off. The convertible version of the sixth generation Camaro will be unveiled tomorrow in the U.S. The soft-top convertible should have specs similar to the coupe.
Engine options would most likely be as follows:
2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged with outputs – 275 hp and 295 lb.-ft. (400 Nm) of torque
3.6-liter naturally aspirated V6 with outputs – 335 hp and 284 lb.-ft. (385 Nm) of torque
6.2-liter LT1 V8 with outputs – 455 hp and 455 lb.-ft. (617 Nm) of torque
Similarly, the transmission choices should include a 6-speed manual transmission and the all-new Hydra-Matic 8L45 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
