The facelifted 2016 Fiat 500 will be presented on June 10 and be launched in Europe on July 11, reveals one of the two leaked internal documents of FCA, posted by Ferd. Translation of the French document suggests that the ‘New Series 4’ 500 arriving in June-July will be available in Lounge/Club trim level initially. Their production will commence in August this year. Powertrain options will include 1.2-litre TwinAir turbocharged two-cylinder petrol engine and 1.2-litre Dualogic (AMT) naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine. Pop/Popstar trim level will be available later, with production starting in September.
Exterior changes will include restyled front and rear bumpers, new headlights similar to the 500X, LED tail lights and new alloy wheels in 15- and 16-inch dimensions. There will be new front brakes as well. New customization options and body paint choices will also be introduced. Interior updates will include changes with the dashboard and glove box, new steering wheel with chrome inserts and new fabric and leather upholstery choices. A new U-connect VP2 infotainment system with/without navigation system will also be offered.
