The 2016 Fiat 500 is due to go on sale later this year and a new batch of spy images released by HDMotori reveals somewhat how the facelifted model’s exterior and interior will look like. The test mule’s front-end still hides the changes, while the rear shows-off restyled taillamps and hints at a revised bumper. On the inside, there appears to be the new 5-inch Uconnect infotainment system which is offered on the 500L.
According to FCA’s leaked internal documents, the car will see a European market launch on July 11. Initially, it will be available in Lounge/Club level, the production of which will commence in August. Two engine options will be available – a 0.9-litre TwinAir turbocharged two-cylinder petrol engine and a 1.2-litre Dualogic (AMT) naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine. The Pop/Popstar trim level will be available to order later, with production commencing in September.
