The first tell-all image of the 2016 Ford F-250 Super Duty has been posted on Jalopnik.com. The model is likely to reach the market in the second half of the year, and looks instantly recognizable as a modern Ford pickup with its wide stance, large wheel arches, tight surfaces and chiseled grille, inspired by the Ford Atlas Concept.
While technical details are sparse, the Ford F-250 Super Duty, like its younger sibling, will get an aluminum body. On the F-150, the change in material gave it a weight saving of up to 317 kg, and the F-250 is expected to at least lose the same amount of flab. The current model weighs 2,694 kg in the 4×2 configuration and 2,880 kg in 4×4 configuration.
The truck is reportedly getting the same 6.2-liter V8 and 6.7-liter Power Stroke engines which today generate 385 bhp & 405 lb-ft (549.10 Nm) and 440 bhp & 860 lb-ft (1,160 Nm) respectively.
