The upcoming 2016 Honda Civic sedan has been spied inside-out by CivicX.com, as seen in this video shared by them on YouTube.
The overall design and styling can be expected to be majorly inspired by the Civic concept that was unveiled at the 2015 New York International Show. Its design, the spy video hints, should be borrowed from the 2016 Accord Touring and also from the premium brand Acura’s offerings.
The interior will also be completely redesigned. The spy video reveals newly designed instrument panel, dashboard, HVAC vents, steering wheel design and center console that features a new infotainment system. Coming to safety and assistance systems, one of the key features will be the Honda LaneWatch Blind Spot Display.
Reports say that the 2016 Honda Civic will be offered in the US with a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine as standard, while a new 1.5-liter VTEC twin-turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine featuring Earth Dreams Technology will also be available. Honda announced an investment of US$340 mn for producing VTEC turbocharged four-cylinder engines at its Anna Engine Plant in Ohio, USA in January.
With the MY2016 model, the Honda Civic will enter its tenth generation. It goes on sale in the U.S. market this fall.
