Jaguar Land Rover has announced that the all-new 2016 Jaguar XF will go on sale this month in the UK. Moreover, it will offer the highest residual values along with a lower insurance group rating than its rivals in the market. The company has begun accepting orders for the new new generation model that starts at £32,300.
Industry valuation company Kwick Car predicts that the new XF will hold on to 41 % of its value after three years and 60,000 miles (96,560 km). The new XF betters the Mercedes E-Class by 4% which will have a residual value of 37% while the BMW 5 Series and the Audi A6 which will have a residual value of 35%.
The car is also slotted in a more affordable insurance group rating starting from Group 25E which is eight groups better than the equivalent Mercedes E-Class, five groups better than the 5 Series and seven groups better than the A6.
The company will also be offering a range of competitive cost of ownership plans with buyers of the 2.0 litre diesel Ingenium engine being able to choose between a Standard Mileage Package and a High Mileage Package. The Standard Milage Package has been priced at £525, offering a cover up to five years or 50,000 miles (80,467 km) and includes two services after the standard two year service interval.
Similarly the High Mileage Package covers the car for five years or 75,000 miles (120,700 km) and costs £675 including up to three services. According to Kwick Car, the new XF also has the lowest total cost of ownership amongst its rivals over a 3 year, 60,000 miles (96,560 km) period. The ownership cost is lower by £3,073 when compared to the Audi A6, £4,033 lower than the BMW 5 Series and £5,191 lower than the Mercedes E-Class.
