Kia has partially revealed the fourth-generation Kia Optima ahead of its world premiere at the 2015 New York International Auto Show in April. The production model is highly reminiscent of the Sportspace concept which at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The front features redesigned headlamps, restyled tiger nose grille, new vertical air inlets and refreshed air dam. The new, sportier alloy wheels are also visible in the global version’s image.
The South Korean version of the Optima which is called the K5, is mostly same as the global version (Optima). Though a notable difference in the front is that unlike the new-generation Optima, the new-generation K5 apparently gets dual projector headlamps. Another difference is that unlike the global version which has extensive use of chrome in the air dam grille, the South Korean version has a simple black air dam grille with a single horizontal chrome stripe placed in the middle.
