FCA has revealed the 2016 Lancia Ypsilon and announced that the facelifted model will debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (2015 IAA) this month. Only the front and side of the new model has been revealed now. Apparent changes on the facelifted model include restyled headlamps, tweaked front bumper, new grille design and fog lamp housing and larger foglamps.
The 2016 Lancia Ypsilon range will include three trim levels – Silver, Gold and Platinum. Five engines will be offered and all will be Euro 6-compliant.
2016 Lancia Ypsilon – Engines:
- 69 hp 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine
- 85 hp 0.9-litre TwinAir Turbo turbocharged two-cylinder petrol engine
- 95 hp 1.3-litre Multijet turbo-diesel engine
- 69 hp 1.2-litre LPG/Petrol engine
- 80 hp 0.9-litre CNG/Petrol engine
The MY2016 update brings two new body paint choices – Ivory Chic and Blu di Blu. New fabrics have been used for the upholstery and the velvet upholstery has been reintroduced with a chevron pattern for the Gold version. The dashboard is updated with new textures to the match the interior. The graphics on the instrument panel are now easier to read. The central tunnel has been completely redesigned and there’s a new gear lever knob. The facelift also brings a new 5-inch touchscreen Uconnect infotainment system which will be offered as standard in the Gold version.
Complete details about the 2016 Lancia Ypsilon is expected to be revealed next week. The facelifted model will go on sale in first markets this month itself.
