The 2016 Mercedes GLC Coupe has been spied for the very first time, courtesy of YouTube channel walkoART. The coupe-styled crossover was originally unveiled as the ‘Concept GLC Coupe’ at the 2015 Auto Shanghai in April.
The spy video, apart from revealing Yokohama tyres, suggests that the production version will have a design and structure exactly like the GLE Coupe.
Considering the fact that it will be a mere coupe version of the GLC-Class, it is expected to carry the same engine options, standard 9G-Tronic 9-speed automatic transmission, and almost every bit of equipment from the regular crossover.
When it arrives on the market late next year, it will rival the BMW X4 – BMW’s ‘sports activity coupe’ iteration of the X3 crossover. The GLC-Class that was unveiled just last month and on which it is based, will go on sale in Germany and other markets in Europe in September.
