The 2016 Mercedes SLC-Class is a facelift of the 2015 SLK-Class, albeit with a new name in line with the brand’s new variant nomenclature. Going by past reports and spyshots, the facelift will update the compact luxury roadster with the brand’s latest design & styling, and some technical changes and features.
Now a new report from Mercedes-Benz Passion says that the Mercedes SLC-Class will be available for pre-orders from 18 December this year, with deliveries commencing in March next year.
Noteworthy in the facelift are the restyled LED headlights and tail lights, modified front and rear bumpers, refreshed interior with new upholstery choices, latest infotainment system, new comfort features and latest safety technologies.
The report suggests that a new Mercedes SLC 450 AMG may replace the current SLK 55 AMG which is powered by a 5.5-litre AMG V8 engine that produces 416 hp and 540 Nm of torque.
A December date for start of bookings indicates that the Mercedes SLC is very likely to debut at the 2015 International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt in September.
