MG has updated its mini car, the MG3, for 2016. The 2016 MG MG3 is claimed to have better economy and lower emissions. The car comes in five trims with prices starting from £8,399.
The facelift has received quite a few visual updates to distinguish it from the previous model. The fascia gets a chrome grille and two exterior colours, namely Red Rose and Hello Yellow which can be had with white or black roof colours.
The engine is the same 1.5-litre four cylinder petrol unit producing 106 PS and 137 Nm mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. This unit gets stop/start technology and is Euro-6 compliant with carbon emissions rated at just 124 g/km, down from the present 136 g/km.
This is what Matthew Cheyne, Head of Sales and Marketing for MG had to say –
“The MG3 has continued its success from the day it launched in 2013. Now we’re giving customers a little bit more, with the addition of some great features, but still keeping the price low; making it great value for money and setting us apart from our competitors.”
The 2016 MG MG3 is available in four trims: MG3 3Time (from £8,399); MG3 3Form (from £9,599); MG3 3Form Sport (from £9,899) and MG3 3Style (from £10,499). There is also an additional MG3 3Style Lux model that adds leather seats to the top-end grade and costs £10,999.
