In an exclusive interview with our sister publication IndianAutosBlog.com, Laurens Van Acker, Senior Vice President, Corporate Design, Renault, confirmed that the fourth generation 2016 Renault Megane will have its world premiere at the 2015 International Motor Show in Frankfurt in September.
He said “the new Megane will be launched at the Frankfurt motorshow. Its a segment which is hugely competitive because you’re competing against the VW Golf, Peugeot 308 etc.”
With the next generation model, the VW Golf-rival will move its foundation to the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s CMF (Common Module Family) platform – CMF-C. The CMF platform not only benefits from faster development due to flexibility, but also saves development costs as much as 30%.
The 2016 Megane will sport a whole new character by adopting the brand’s new design language seen on the latest vehicles Espace, Kadjar and Captur.
