Toyota has announced that the 2016 Toyota Corolla is North America’s number one selling compact car, taking forward the legacy of the carmaker known for its quality and reliability. The 2016 Toyota Corolla incorporates stylish design with a long list of features, while being fun to drive.
Larry Hutchinson, Vice President, Toyota Canada, said that all built-in-Canada, 2016 Toyota Corolla models look modern and deliver efficiency. The Corolla features a generous list of standard features along with flexible upgrade packages, making it easy for everyone to find a perfect match according to their needs and budget.
He also went on to add that the compact sedan market has been intensely competitive in Canada, yet the Corolla offers high levels of comfort, features and performance that make it an attractive choice, year after year.
LED headlamps are standard on the 2016 Toyota Corolla. Other noteworthy features include Toyota Star Safety System, with six active technologies, infotainment system with USB and Bluetooth connectivity, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, 60/40 split fold-down rear seat, power adjustable heated side mirrors and power windows and door locks.
Under the hood, there’s a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine in two states of tune producing 132 hp (99 kW) or 140 hp (104 kW). Transmission choices include 6-speed manual, a 4-speed automatic and an ‘Intelligent Shift’ CVTi-S continuously variable transmission.
