The 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser (facelift) has been snapped in metal without any camouflage, courtesy of Instagram user hamad1two3. The model seen here is the Land Cruiser GXR with V8 engine.

The whole front-end has been changed with a new prominent upper grille that integrates into the new headlamps, new bumper, redesigned fog lamp housing with smaller fog lamps and a new chrome bumper guard that reads ‘Land Cruiser’.

At the rear, the redesigned taillamps now extend more into the tailgate. There’s a new full-width chrome grille that reads ‘Land Cruiser’. Another change at the rear is that the fog lamps have gone wider. The facelift’s interior was leaked last month and the refreshed cabin features new steering wheel, instrument cluster, gear panel, gear lever and infotainment system.

The Land Cruiser Prado range received a new 174 bhp-GD-series 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel engine last month, which debuted on the 2016 Toyota Hilux Revo. The 2016 Land Cruiser is also likely to get this engine for a new entry-level model. The SUV should go on sale in the next 3-4 months in global markets as the MY2016 model.
