2016 VW Golf Cabriolet facelift to debut at 2015 IAA

Volkswagen has given the Golf Cabriolet a facelift, with reworked exteriors, updated interiors and new exterior paint schemes.The four-seater soft-top variant will make its debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (2015 IAA) in Germany, this September.

The MY2016 Golf Cabriolet adds changes to the front bumper with a new design along with revised side sills. The rear gets sporty embellishments on the bumper. The facelifted model gets added individualisation options for buyers looking for customisation according to their taste.

The facelifted cabriolet gets six new exterior paint schemes along with six new wheel designs and an added colour scheme for the soft-top. The interior also sports the addition of a new-gen steering wheel and new accents on the dashboard. The upholstery will also feature new designs and will be available in both- cloth and leather trim.

The facelifted cabriolet also adds the Composition Media radio and infotainment system with Composition Colour and Discover Media navigation system, built into the infotainment system. Additionally, Volkswagen has added the Car-Net feature, with Guide & Inform and App Connect smartphone integration.

The Guide & Inform feature enables Internet-based information channels like News, Online Traffic Information and Weather along with Vehicle Status Report. Drivers can also discover restaurants, cinemas or other places of interest accessing information from the Infotainment system. The navigation will also provide directions to vacant parking spaces in car parks along the route.
