Subaru has released a teaser of the Subaru Impreza Sedan Concept and announced that it will be unveiled at the 2015 LA Auto Show. It wasn’t hard to predict what it previews but still the company took the effort to clearly state that the “Solid x Dynamic” concept debuting at the show on November 18 will be inspirational to the fifth generation 2017 Subaru Impreza.
The company says that the 2017 Subaru Impreza is “coming at the end of 2016”. Just two days back, it confirmed that the 2017 Impreza sedan and hatchback will enter production in late 2016. With the production commencing towards the year-end, official unveiling of the 2017 Impreza can be expected to happen at the 2016 New York International Auto Show in April. Adding strength to this speculation, is the fact that the third and fourth generation models were also introduced at New York International Auto Show.
The teaser hints that most of the Subaru Impreza Sedan Concept’s design is similar to the Subaru Impreza 5-door Concept that was unveiled at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show last month. The latter previews the 2017 Subaru Impreza 5-door Hatchback.
The U.S.-spec 2017 Subaru Impreza in both sedan and hatchback bodystyles will be built at the company’s SIA plant in Lafayette, Indiana in USA, beginning in late 2016, and likely go on sale by early 2017.
