Alfa Romeo has released the first teaser of the Giulia. The new mid-size sedan will mark the revival of the icnonic Giulia after over three decades of absence. Known internally as the Project 952, the new mid-size sedan will sit on the company’s new rear-wheel-/all-wheel-drive Giorgio platform.
Previous reports have said that the BMW 3 Series-rival will be driver-focused vehicle with exceptional driving experience and be offered with a 1.8-litre twin-turbo four-cylinder petrol engine and a 3.0-litre (twin-turbo) V6 petrol engine. The 1.8-litre engine will churn out 300 hp, while the 3.0-litre one will develop almost 500 hp. In standard guise it will be rear-wheel driven, but four-wheel drive models will also be offered.
The Italian D-segment contender will debut in Milan on 24 June this year, celebrating the car maker’s 105th birthday. Going with the brand’s tradition, it will be a pure Made-in-Italy vehicle. The luxury sport sedan will go on sale in the U.S. in Q1 2016.
