BMW has announced the prices of the 2016 BMW X1 in the U.K. In its second generation, the all-new X1 adds a new range of engine and transmission options along with the latest generation of the X-Drive all-wheel drive system.
In the U.K, the X1 will be offered as standard with the LED headlamps and LED daytime running lamps in the xLine and M Sport trim levels, while the Sport line trim gets it as an option. The xLine trim level features the signature BMW kidney grille accented by matt aluminium bars, the air intakes, side skirts and underbody protector features matt silver accents.
The Sport Line trim level features black kidney grille bars, air intakes with accenting in high-gloss Black. The M Sport trim level adds an aerodynamic package along with 18-inch alloy wheels or optional 19-inch M light alloy wheels.
The xLine trim features interiors upholstered with perforated Dakota leather with contrast stitching and is available in Oyster, Mocha, Canberra beige or Black interior colour schemes. The Sport Line trim features black sports seats with a choice of red or grey accents. The cabin features the incorporation of high gloss Black or aluminium trim strips contrasted with matte Coral Red accents.
The M Sport trim features sports seats upholstered in anthracite-coloured cloth and Alcantara with Blue inserts. It also adds M leather steering wheel along with a BMW Individual headliner in an Anthracite colour scheme. The M Sport trim incorporates Aluminium Hexagon interior trim strips with matte Blue accenting.
Other noteworthy features include a new 8.8-inch display with split screen function, BMW’s Navigation Plus system, BMW Head-Up Display, Driving Assistant with Lane Departure Warning, Collision Warning, Pedestrian Warning, automatic headlamps, City Braking system, Active Cruise Control system with Stop & Go function, Traffic Jam Assistant, rear-view camera with Park Distance Control and Parking Assistant among others.
At launch the 2016 BMW X1 will be powered by one petrol engine and three diesel engines. The 2.0-litre petrol engine in the X1 xDrive20i produces 192 hp and 280 Nm of torque. The 2.0-litre diesel engine in the X1 xDrive25d produces 231 hp and 450 Nm of torque. The 2.0-litre engine in the xDrive20d and the sDrive18d produces 190 hp with 400 Nm and 150 hp with 330 Nm of torque respectively.
The all-new 2016 BMW X1 is stated to go on sale in the U.K on 24th October 2015 with prices starting from £31,225 for the X1 xDrive20i.
