Autonomous car and more about Aston Martin from NYIAS

April 8, 2015

Following the report of an all-electric Rapide sedan, a new report has emerged on Car And Driver stating that Aston Martin is interested in offering self-driving cars.

Marek Reichman, Chief Creative Officer and Studio Head at Aston Martin, said that a self-driving Aston is a logical step for the brand. The design chief thinks that a car should drive by itself in traffic-jam situations, so that the passengers can commute hassle-free, indicates the report.

Citing the design chief, the report also says that the DB9 replacement has been confirmed to become the first car from the brand to feature Mercedes-Benz’s COMAND infotainment system; albeit with a resized screen, and control switches and graphics rehashed to give it the British luxury feel.
