Subaru Australia has released the specifications of the 2015 Subaru Liberty on its website ahead of its market launch in January 2015. The company’s detailed specifications on the website reveal that that all models in the range will have the EyeSight forward collision system as standard. Thus, the mid-size sedan will have Pre-Collision Braking, Pre-Collision Steering Assist system, departure warning, and adaptive cruise-control.
The range has three variants: 2.5i, 2.5i Premium, and 3.6R. While the power outputs are not disclosed, the website reveals that 2.5i and 2.5i Premium variants will be equipped with a 2.5-litre Horizontally-opposed Boxer 4-cylinder petrol engine whereas the 3.6R top-of-the-range variant will sport a 3.6-litre Horizontally-opposed Boxer 6-cylinder petrol engine. Continuously Variable Transmission and Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive are standard across the range.
The base variant features a touchscreen entertainment system, SI-Drive (multiple driving modes), auto lights, auto wipers, auto stop start, 18-inch alloy wheels and reverse camera.
The mid-variant 2.5i Premium in addition to the above features, has leather accented seats, powered front seats, heated front seats, power folding mirrors, Pandora compatibility in the infotainment system, Satellite navigation system, LED headlights, push button start, and sunroof.
The range topping 3.6R variant unlike the first two, is not compatible with EURO 6 norms, but sports a bigger engine (3.6-litre Horizontally-opposed Boxer 6-cylinder petrol engine) and a Harman Kardon stereo system with 12 speakers. All three variants have 3 year/unlimited km warranty, 12 months Roadside assistance, and Capped Price Servicing Program.
