The Alfa Romeo 4C is set to launch in Australia in February with a starting price of AU$89,000 (excluding on-road costs). Initially, 120 units of the 4C have been allocated for Australia. 75 of these 120 units are Launch Edition models priced at AU$109,000 (excluding on-road costs).
The Launch Edition models will sport Rosso Alfa red or Madreperla white paint, Bi-LED headlights, unique front bumper, matte black alloy wheels (18-inch – front, 19-inch – rear), carbon-fibre rear spoiler and mirror caps, race-tuned suspension with front and rear sway bars and shock absorbers along with a racing exhaust. Interior includes an array of carbon-fibre elements.
The Alfa Romeo 4C is equipped with a 1.75-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 177 kW (237 hp) and 350 Nm of torque. The 4C can reach 100 km/h from rest in 4.5 seconds and go further to a top speed of 257km/h. The Australian-spec 4C has thicker carbon tubs and more aluminum components for additional safety and will weigh 1,025 kg, about 130kg more than the European model.
