Alfa Romeo has launched the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint at an AU$31,000 in Australia. The company has resurrected the legendary nameplate after more than 60 years. The Giulietta Sprint gets special elements to convey its exclusive nature. The exterior features 17-inch five-hole design alloy wheels, special badging on the front fender, as well as sportier rear bumper and side skirts. Dark Anthracite finish has been applied to the grille, mirrors and door handles, while the headlamps have dark surrounds and the fog lamps have been accentuated by dark anthracite bezels. Black window surrounds and dark-tint windows round off the exterior modifications.
Inside, the cabin features carbon-effect door panels and dashboard surround. The sporty feeling is conveyed by red stitching on the leather-wrapped steering wheel and seats that are covered in cloth and Alcantara. The ‘Sprint’ logo is prominently embroidered into the headrests.
On the technology front, there is a 5.0-inch UConnect touchscreen infotainment system that supports Bluetooth, voice commands, SMS reader, USB and music streaming, and comes with six speakers. The sports instrument cluster features white illumination, multifunctional display and trip computer. Safety and convenience is enhanced by features such as ABS, ASR, EBD, EBA + Hill Holder, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), six airbags and remote central locking.
Powering the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint, is a 1.4-litre MultiAir petrol engine generating 110kW (149 hp) and 250Nm of torque. The engine is married to a 6-speed manual gearbox which drives the front wheels. The Giulietta Sprint can reach 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 8.2 seconds and hit a top speed of 210 km/h (130 mph).
