Honda is the latest manufacturer to pass on the Australia-Japan Free Trade Agreement benefit to its customers in Australia. The Honda Odyssyey has received a major price cut following the Australia-Japan Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
The Odyssey people-mover is available in Australia in two variants – VTi CVT and VTi-L CVT. The VTi CVT variant was previously priced at AU$38,990. Now with the FTA resulting price reduction, the VTi CVT variant costs AU$37,610 which is AU$1,380 lesser than the previous pricing. The VTi-L CVT variant which was priced at AU$47,620 is now priced AU$1,580 lower at AU$46,040.
Both variants of the fifth-generation Odyssey are equipped with a number of notable features including Daytime Running Lights, auto on/off headlights, cruise control with steering mounted buttons, three-mode reversing camera, Honda’s ECON Mode and Eco Assist, Vehicle Stability Assist, Tyre Deflation Warning System, six airbags (including third row) and Idle stop.

Honda’s Odyssey Is Now Even Better Value For Money – Press Release
Pricing on the Honda Odyssey – Australia’s favourite people-mover – will be repositioned as a result of the Free Trade Agreement between Australia and Japan, effective 1 February 2015.

The Honda Odyssey ended 2014 with a bang. It was number one in its segment for both private and total market sales; 2,552 units which represents an increase of 154 percent from 2013.
One of Honda’s most awarded models in Australia, the fifth-generation Odyssey is available with either seven (VTi-L) or eight (VTi) seats. Both variants feature Honda’s ECON Mode and Eco Assist, Vehicle Stability Assist, Tyre Deflation Warning System, six airbags (including third row), Idle stop, three-mode reversing camera, Daytime Running Lights, auto on/off headlights and cruise control with steering wheel mounted buttons.
The VTi features cloth trim, a retractable third row seat with 40/20/40 split fold, MacPherson strut front and torsion beam rear suspension, power sliding door with remote open/close for passenger side, two-speed intermittent windscreen wipers and rear window wiper, HDMI jack and two USB ports, Hill Start Assist, power windows with remote open and 17 inch alloy wheels.
The VTi-L adds a multi-view camera system with Smart Park Assist, Blind Spot Information System and Cross-Traffic Monitor. Another highlight is the second row Captain’s Chairs with arm rests and ottoman. All seven seats are finished in leather-appointed trim and the front seats have heating.
It also features the next-generation of Honda’s audio system: Display Audio. The touch screen displays audio functionality, hands-free Bluetooth functionality as well as system information.
