Mitsubishi Lancer Evo Final Edition for Australia

Australia: Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition arrives, limited to 150 units

November 11, 2015

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition has arrived in Australia at a price of AU$53,700. The special edition marks the end of the tenth and final generation, and is limited to only 150 units. Fans of the legendary high performance sports sedan will have to rush in order to reserve their limited edition farewell model.

The exterior has several distinguishing elements that make it stand out from the standard Lancer Evo X. The most obvious is the two tone colour range with a black painted roof and the 18-inch BBS satin platinum alloy wheels with a gold centre wheel ornament. More exterior tweaks include a gloss-black finish on the front bumper centre and bonnet air outlets as well as the dark chrome surrounds for the radiator grille and ‘Final Edition’ badge on the bootlid.

The interior is done in an all-black theme which is contrasted with sporty red stitching on the Recaro performance seats, leather steering wheel, leather parking brake and shift knob, floor console and armrests. The interior also features a unique serial number plate bearing the production number of the model. The floor mats have ‘Final Edition’ lettering on them and the multi-information display gets a special animation on startup.

Powering the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition, is a 2.0-litre MIVEC turbocharged inline four-cylinder petrol engine producing 226 kW (303 hp) and 414 Nm (305 lb.-ft.) of torque. The engine is mated exclusively to a 5-speed manually transmission that works with Mitsubishi’s Super All-Wheel control system to send power to both axles.

The occupants are well protected in the event of a crash, as the car comes with seven airbags which are: driver’s side knee air bag, dual-stage front air bags with occupant seat position sensors, front seat mounted side-impact air bags and front and rear curtain side air bags. Technologies such as Sport Anti-Lock Braking system (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Active Stability Control (ASC) and Traction Control Logic (TCL) also help the driver to be in control of the car at all times.
