Mitsubishi Australia has launched the Mitsubishi Triton GLX-R Warrior which adds more technology and comfort to the pick-up truck. The limited edition could be a part of the strategy to clear-off stocks of the outgoing Triton prior to the launch of the next-generation in 2015. The new Triton had its motorshow debut in Thailand late last month and a global rollout is to ensue in the coming months.
The Warrior edition, limited to 300 units, has the standard 2.5-litre turbo diesel engine and a choice of a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic transmission. The limited edition features a differential lock, Mitsubishi Multi Communication System, eight-speaker audio system with Mitsubishi Power sound amplifier, six-way adjustable power adjustable driver’s seat, 17-inch alloy wheels, alloy front nudge bar, Warrior graphics on the front doors and flush-fit soft tonneau cover.
The Warrior edition will be available in four colours: Charcoal, Cool Silver, Ironbark and White, and as a dual-cab four-wheel drive only. The Triton GLX-R Warrior Edition with the five-speed manual is priced at AUS $43,990 (driveaway) and the same with five-speed automatic transmission is priced at AUS $45,990 (driveaway).
