The Bentley Bentayga First Edition has made its debut at an event held for select VIP customers at the Sunset Marquis Hotel in Los Angeles. This limited edition is consigned to just 608 units and is built to celebrate the creation of an all-new luxury SUV segment.
The Bentley Bentayga First Edition differentiates itself from the standard variant by featuring Union Jack badging, illuminated tread plates and 22-inch black-painted and polished wheels. The customers can choose from a range of ten colors that are available for the model.
On the inside, the cabin is what one would expect from Bentley. The interior has ambient lighting, Union Jack badging on the fascia and detailing done in different materials like metal, wood and leather. The embroidered seats are particularly luxurious with several distinct touches such as ‘Diamond within Diamond’ quilting and contrast stitching. Bentley says that the interior has been crafted with meticulous attention to detail that set “a new standard in automotive design.”
Under the hood of the fastest SUV is the twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12 engine that pumps out 608 PS (447 kW) and 900 Nm (663 lb.-ft.) of torque. The cessation of the Bentayga First Edition at 608 units is done keeping in mind the power output. The 0-62 mph sprint is completed in 4.1 seconds and the SUV has a top speed of 187 mph (301 km/h).
Bentley has tied-up with Breitling to offer their watches to owners of the luxury SUV. The watchmaker has created three chronographs called the Bentley Bentayga Edition models, these are – Emergency, Cockpit B50 and Chronomat 38 (designed for women).
Deliveries of the Bentley Bentayga First Edition starts in May with US-bound models priced at US$297,400.
