Bentley has released a new teaser video of the Bentayga crossover’s interior. The video gives a look at the instrument cluster, dashboard, drive controls and the centre console. Most of the elements are just partially revealed, but provide a view clear enough to imagine the rest.
The instrument cluster is apparently semi-digital. There’s colour Multi-Function Display between the tachometer and the speedometer that displays the night vision camera output, navigation system’s maps and many more readouts not revealed in the video. Atop the driver-side dashboard, there’s a head-up display (HUD) unit. The gearshift lever features a Bentley logo and the leather upholstery and the use of glossy wood and chrome makes the interior look very classy.
The Bentayga will very likely be unveiled at the 2015 International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt in September. It will be the first Bentley to be offered with a diesel engine. As reported earlier, it will also be the luxury automaker’s first vehicle to be offered with a plug-in hybrid electric powertrain. The company showed its interest in offering a PHEV by unveiling the Hybrid Concept at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show, and while announcing the concept, the company said that it will introduce a plug-in hybrid SUV in 2017. Thus, the Bentayga plug-in hybrid can be indirectly said to have been confirmed for a 2017 launch.
