The Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 concept was one of the key luxury debuts at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in March. Following the Swiss unveiling, the concept car was also displayed in its very important market, China, at 2015 Auto Shanghai last month. The concept looked as if it was almost ready for production.
Citing an interview with Rolf Frech, Engineering Chief and Board Member for Engineering at Bentley, a report from GT Spirit suggests that the concept has very high chances of getting the green light for production. The company is currently garnering feedback from customers and dealers around the world to reach a decision.
The new supercar could be based on the Volkswagen Group’s new rear-wheel drive MSB platform. This platform is also going to be used for the next generation Continental GT. The production version can be expected to be powered by a V8 petrol engine. Bentley may offer a plug-in hybrid electric version also, with powertrain source sourced from the Volkswagen Group.
