The upcoming BMW M2’s specifications and equipment options have been revealed by 2Addicts forum members, who were revealed the same by a BMW dealership.
The BMW 1M Coupe-replacement will be offered with 6-speed manual transmission as standard but 7-speed M-DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) will be optional. Only four body paint choices will be available – Black Sapphire, Alpine White, Long Beach Blue and Mineral Grey. 19-inch black-coloured wheels will be the only wheel option.
Standard features will include, Xenon headlights, rear parking sensors, black shadowline, Navigation Pro, heated front seats, black leather interior with blue stitching and carbon inserts. Adaptive headlights, reversing camera, power heated seats and Harman Kardon audio system will be available optionally. 5-year warranty extension will also be optional.
One of the members who got this information on ordering the M2 says that the production week will be 8 February 2016 and delivery week will be 3 March 2016. The engine to be offered on the high performance variant is said to be a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six that produces 365 hp and 343 lb.-ft. (465 Nm) of torque.
