Mercedes Benz is currently testing the soon to be launched 2011 SLK Roadster. The 2011 SLK would soon be brought in to replace the aging 2nd generation R171 SLK which was launched way back in 2004.

As we reported earlier, the 2012 Audi A2 would come with an electric drivetrain. The second-generation Audi A2, scheduled for 2012 launch, will be cheaper thanks to the monocoque steel frame chosen over the more expensive spaceframe construction. The platform of the new A2 will be the same as the Audi A1.

Spy shots of the upcoming 9th generation 2012 Honda Civic test mules are doing their rounds in the internet. The Civic has been the most important car for Honda since 1972, when the first generation Civic hit the streets.

The whole world knows that the Nissan Pixo is just a reworked and re-modelled version of the Suzuki alto which Suzuki sells in Europe. The Nissan Zeds (Z-cars) have always been highly acclaimed by car fanatics all over the world. The 370Z, the latest iteration of Nissan’s Z-car is no exception.

The renderings just keep on flowing. There is no doubt in my mind that the most anticipated car in the immediate future is the 2012 VW Golf, that’s caught everyone’s imagination.
We have previously discussed details on the 2012 VW Golf with incredible depth. We have no further information regarding the models, but soon we expect to learn more.

Update (4th June 2010) – The 7-seat Toyota Prius MPV is expected to be priced in Japan below 2.5 million (around $27,700). It is based on the Prius platform, but the big change would be the switch to Lithium ion batteries. The 5 seater version will stick with the Prius’s nickel metal hydride pack though. Combined mileage is expected to fall short of 50mpg.
