Suzuki will launch a new Grand Vitara in Brazil next month loaded completely with accessories. Special running boards, grille and wheels made coated with faux graphite along with iPod docking facility are some of the features on this special edition reserved for certain South American markets.

The Wagon R, a sort of a love child between a box and a car, has strangely been a favorite car of the Japanese customers. Partly, because it has a Suzuki badge and partly because it has tones of space in it. Also, if you are 6 foot odd, it is very difficult to get into other hatches in the same segment.

Great news for all you Wagon R lovers (I know there are quite a few out there who are tall and can’t get into anything else). Suzuki has apparantly started work on the new 2011 Solio (a.k.a Wagon R in the home market). The most exciting aspect of the new car is that it will be based on the same platform as the Swift, which is (IMHO) the best platform Suzuki has ever produced till date!

Designed to attract customers going for the Mini Cooper, Citroën DS3 and even the Renault Clio RS, the 2011 3-door Suzuki Swift was spied with a body kit in an undisclosed location.
The 3-door 2011 Swift should come with the same 1.6-liter engine that powers the existing Swift. The source website also speculates a 1.4 TSI engine from VW’s engine bay.

The all new next-generation Suzuki Swift was launched only last week, and we already have a rendering of the Suzuki Swift Sport based on the new Swift. The new Swift Sport will have visual enhancements to the body such as a new, more aggressive front bumper, with wide air intakes, side skirts and a new rear bumper to complement the new front bumper.

Nissan will recall a total of 76,415 cars in Japan across 10 models in Japan due to a manufacturing defect and more than 2,000 overseas due to a defect that may cause engine failure.
Around 60,000 Daihatsu vehicles are being recalled due to faulty airbags that could accidentally inflate.
