Update (4th June 2010) – The 7-seat Toyota Prius MPV is expected to be priced in Japan below 2.5 million (around $27,700). It is based on the Prius platform, but the big change would be the switch to Lithium ion batteries. The 5 seater version will stick with the Prius’s nickel metal hydride pack though. Combined mileage is expected to fall short of 50mpg.

Codenamed 830L, the 2011 Toyota Yaris debuts in Japan in the coming months and could reach European shores as early as January 2011.
The car is less than four meters in length and retains its existing dimensions. The design of the model, as Woody’s rendering suggests, could use styling cues found on the Toyota iQ.

Toyota’s plans with the Prius seem to be interesting, as always. Toyota might make the Prius an exclusive brand, very soon. An SUV, station wagon, Coupe and a convertible to come under that? The Toyota FT-86 is a car that is jointly being developed by Toyota and Subaru and is scheduled for a 2012 debut. The vehicle uses many design cues from the earlier FT-HS concept.

We’d already shown you the extended Prius a canadian had built for his family here. But now, it looks like Toyota is really working on making the Prius wagon into production which might start selling from March 2011.
Bloomberg had also reported in November, that Toyota may be planning to turn the Prius into a full line of hybrid vehicles, taking advantage of the badge that is nearly synonymous [...]

Looks like Toyota is working with Subaru to make a sportscar. Codenamed the FT86, it would be powered by a Subaru engine and the expected dimensions are 4250×1765×1320 with a price tag of 20,000 USDollars.

The Toyota Yaris will go in for a complete model change in 2010 in Japan and by the beginning of next year, it will reach markets like China and North America.

The RAV4 is one of Toyota’s famous SUVs around the world. Termed as a compact Crossover SUV, the car has been under production since 1996. 2-Door , 4-Door and an EV were the variants Toyota had offered on this vehicle.
Though the third generation RAV4 (CA30W) received a refresh in 2009, and a minor facelift in 2010, an all new Fourth Generation RAV4 is expected soon from Toyota.

Toyota wanted to get a smaller hybrid for the world, will they get a bigger one also?
A 7-seater version of the Prius could help bigger families enjoy their day out and taxi drivers by accommodating a larger family from the Airport.
Is it really coming?
