GM has released a video of the Chevrolet Bolt EV which was confirmed for production in February this year.
The prototype’s video was shot at GM’s Milford Proving Grounds in Michigan. Specific details haven’t been released, but the prototype shows that it’s nearing production with a less dramatic exterior compared to the concept.
Exterior changes, imaginably, include restyled bumper, larger headlamps and new side mirrors. New LED tail lights are also visible, but the taillamp lens hasn’t been put on just yet.
Originally introduced as the Bolt EV concept, the production electric car will have a support for DC charging and offer a (GM-estimated) range of over 200 miles (322 km). Its price range will start at around US$30,000 and it will be sold in all 50 states of the U.S. market and in many global markets too. The production version can be expected to be unveiled sometime next year, with sales commencing in the H1 2017.
