Chevrolet will be displaying two 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS concepts – Chevrolet Camaro SS Black Accent Package concept and Chevrolet Camaro SS Red Accent Package concept, at the 2015 SEMA Show next month.
Camaro SS Black Accent Package concept:
This concept is a Camaro SS coupe featuring a Red Hot paint scheme as the basis for the black accents. The company says that it creates a “tuner” aesthetic. The exterior gets a black bowtie emblem, 20-inch five split-spoke low-gloss black wheels, satin black rally stripes and a concept black fuel lid.
The black accents are mirrored inside the cabin with a custom black interior and knee pads, suede console lid with Chevrolet Performance logo and contrast red stitching, premium floor mats with SS logo and sport pedal covers.
Mechanical changes include a performance air intake, suspension lowering kit and Brembo front brake package with red calipers. The red accent is also seen under the hood in the form of a red engine cover.
Camaro SS Red Accent Package concept:
Unlike the Black Accent Package, the Red Accent Package is applied to the Camaro SS Convertible. The body is covered in a sporty Switchblade Silver metallic paint and is accentuated by red detailing on the grille inserts, “hash mark” fender graphics and as the outline stripe on the 20-inch five-spoke Gloss Black wheels; the bowtie is also finished in black. Red colour is seen under the hood on the engine cover, just like in the Camaro SS Red Accent Package concept.
The cabin comes with an interior illumination kit and in line with the theme, has red aluminum door inserts, knee pads, sport pedal covers, SS-logo floor mats and center console cover. Mechanically, the changes are limited to a lowered suspension, new performance air intake and Brembo six-piston calipers at the front.
