The Volkswagen Group announceed a revised version of the brute 6.0-litre W12 TSI engine at the 2015 Vienna Motor Symposium last month. Developed specially for the Group’s premium models, the next-gen W12 TSI mill produces 608 PS (599 hp) and 900 Nm of torque, and is capable of accelerating a car from 0-100 km/h in under 4 seconds (depending on the car’s weight) and capable of reaching a top speed of over 300 km/h.
According to a fresh report from Automotive News Europe, the new twelve-cylinder engine will be used in five new Bentley, Audi & VW products, followed by more VAG products later. The Bentley Bentayga will be the first to pack the monstrous engine that features a direct injection and turbocharging.
The next-gen Continental and Flying Spur, next-gen Audi A8 and VW Phaeton will also offer the engine in their respective top variant, says the report. Although it may sound unlikely, the report also speculates that the second-gen Audi Q7 range could also offer the W12 engine in 2-3 years.
Moreover, this engine could also be considered for the recently announced Lamborghini Urus too.
