Ford will launch more than 20 performance vehicles by 2020. The company has already introduced three of these 20+ performance vehicles – the F-150 Raptor, the Shelby GT350R Mustang and the Focus RS. While majority of the remaining is still a mystery, one of them reportedly is said to be the Ford Fiesta RS.
A fresh report from Autovisie suggests that the Ford Fiesta RS will be launched as one of the Ford Performance Vehicles by 2020.
The Fiesta RS, when it arrives, is likely to feature a more powerful 1.6-litre EcoBoost petrol engine which currently powers the Fiesta ST, a manual transmission, wide body kit, grippier tires, tuned suspension, limited-slip differential and the Focus RS’s torque-vectoring all-wheel drive system. The power output would fall between that of the Fiesta ST and the Focus RS. The performance model can be expected to be launched sometime in late 2016 or early 2017.
