Ford Europe has revealed a unique Focus RS with the exterior of the high performance hatchback featuring an insignia that has been designed by video game enthusiasts ahead of the 2015 Gamescon scheduled to be held between 5th to 9th August in Germany.
A competition was organised by the global gaming website IGN for the players of the Forza Horizon open world racing game, who had to submit exterior designs for the Ford Focus RS with the winning design getting an opportunity to be featured on the real high performance hatchback.
The Ford Focus RS along with the new Ford GT will be featured in the new game Forza Motorsport 6 which will make its debut at the 2015 Gamescon. The game will go on sale later this year and will be available exclusively for the Microsoft Xbox One console.
In the special event that was organised in Cologne, Germany, the Focus RS was driven into the ceremony by the Stig from BBC’s TopGear Series who will also be featured in the new game.
Dan Greenawalt, Creative Director, Turn 10 Studios which was established in 2001 by Microsoft to develop the Forza Motorsport gaming series, said that the gaming enthusiasts all over the world will be the first to experience the all new high performance Ford GT in the new Forza Motorsport 6. He also went on to mention that we are glad to showcase the real Focus RS that was designed by the Forza community in Cologne.
