September 24, 2015

The 2017 F-Series Super Duty pickup has been officially revealed with a lightweight construction for enhanced fuel economy and weight savings, like the 2015 Ford F-150.

The body of the all-new F-Series Super Duty uses military grade aluminium alloy, making it more resilient to dents, corrosion and rusting when compared to the previous steel body. The usage of high-strength steel and high-strength aluminium alloys in its construction has resulted in the reduction of weight by up to 350 lbs (136 kg), and thus enahanced towing capability. The use of 95% high-strength steel has resulted in the frame being 24 times stiffer than before.
