Four custom Ford Explorer SUVs heading to 2015 SEMA Show

Ford has the biggest OEM stand at the 2015 SEMA Show and has already announced three customized Ford Edges for the show. But that’s not enough for the Detroit-based automaker and so, it has now announced four tricked-out Explorer SUVs for the aftermarket spectacle.

The first one is the “All Star Performance Explorer Sport” concept that its makers say, is “built to be the ultimate road trip vehicle no matter what the destination.” Exterior upgrades comprise of a lift kit, LED lighting, meaty tires and a carrier basket. Interior features custom leather/suede upholstery and Sony component speakers as well as amplifiers. Performance is given a boost, thanks to a MagnaFlow Performance exhaust and a Vortech front mount intercooler.

Ford Explorer Sport from Cars by Kris

Next is the Ford Explorer Sport from Cars by Kris which is designed to embody the spirit of “Wanderlust.” This vehicle is for those who want to see the world and turn heads while doing it. The exterior features a brilliant Axalta Refinish Burnt Orange Metallic paintjob with carbon fiber accents, such as the Nord roof box, wide body fender flares by Rideskinz and Cars by Kris and DinMann body cladding. Interior is adorned with Alea leather, CT Sounds audio system and Define Concepts stereo enclosure. Changes beneath the skin are PPE Engineering downpipes, ECM tuning by Leading Edge Tuning and CGS exhausts.

Mad Industries Explorer Sport

Third in line is the Mad Industries Explorer Sport that is designed to be more of an urban luxury lifestyle vehicle. The body has a contrasting black and white paint with a lowered ride height and 24-inch forged Alpine wheels. Inside, the seats are wrapped in Roadwire leather black custom seat covers with white contrast stitching and Pure White leather detail, PIAA Tera LED evolution lighting, SRP Racing pedals, Lloyd custom floor mats, Focal audio system and Enfotrace GPS tracking system.

Last but not the least, is a customized Explorer Sport with its PPG Inca Gold paint scheme, 3M window tint and B-Forged 20-inch wheels. The seats are upholstered in Katzkin covers with custom embroidery headrests while entertainment need is taken care of by Kicker speakers and amplifiers. Mechanical modifications include usage of Flowmaster exhaust and Airaid cold air system.
