FCA bringing four Mopar concepts to 2015 SEMA Show

October 26, 2015

FCA has announced that it will display a total of 20 vehicles at the 2015 SEMA Show to be held next month. Four among them will be customized by Mopar and they are – Dodge Challenger, Fiat 500X, Chrysler 300 and Ram pickup. These vehicles among others will feature concept and production Mopar products and displayed along with hundreds of Mopar parts and accessories at the 15,345 square-foot Mopar SEMA exhibit. As of now, only teaser images of these models have been released.

The teaser that caught our attention the most is the rear of the custom Dodge Challenger. Apart from the familiar rectangular LED tail lights, there are orange pinstripes outlining the rear, big wheels and the most important part: a bootlid spoiler sporting GT AWD lettering. We know that the Challenger is only available as RWD in its current form. This AWD aspect however, is not farfetched as the Challenger is based on the LX platform that also underpins the Charger and Chrysler 300, both of which offer all-wheel drive options. This teaser is of a concept so as of now, so it is not clear just yet if we will see an AWD Challenger on the streets.

Other teasers are of the Fiat 500X which doesn’t reveal much details aside from a coloured spoke on the wheels matching the body accent. The custom Chrysler 300 seems to have additional LED lighting alongwith sporty alloys and a new matte blue body colour. The custom Ram 1500 pickup looks rugged and is seen with a Hemi badge, which indicates the presence of a Hemi powerhouse under the hood.
