The Genesis G90 has been spied completely undisguised during a commercial shoot ahead of its official unveiling and concurrent market launch in South Korea next month.

The design and styling of the Hyundai Equus/Hyundai Centennial successor appears to be as close as it could get to the official renderings released by Hyundai Motor earlier this month. The car in the spyshots bears the ‘EQ900’ badge on the bootlid and license plate, which means that it’s the South Korean-spec model, which will launch on December 9.

The Genesis G90 measures 5,205 mm long, 1,915 mm wide and 1,495 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3,160 mm. There will be a long-wheelbase version, which will have a wheelbase of 3,450 mm. Except the height, all other dimensions have increased from the predecessor.

The Genesis G90 will be available with three petrol engine options, at least in South Korea if not globally. The least powerful engine will be a 3.8-litre Lambda V6 naturally aspirated that produces 334 hp and 40.3 kg.m (395 Nm) of torque. The second engine option will be a 3.3-litre Lambda V6 T-GDI twin-turbo V6 unit good for 370 hp and 52.0 kg.m (510 Nm) of torque, while the most powerful engine option will be a 5.0-litre GDI naturally aspirated V8 unit that churns out 425 hp and 53.0 kg.m (520 Nm) of torque.
