Audi has launched a limited edition of the Audi A5 Coupe inspired by the German Touring Car races. This model limited to just 50 units and is called Audi A5 DTM selection special edition.
The exterior of the special edition coupe features an exclusive Misano Red colour that contrasts with the Gloss Black colour of the grille, side mirrors and rear diffuser. The 20-inch wheels however, have been given a Matt Titanium finish and are wrapped in 265/30 section tyres. The whole car is patterned with DTM, Quattro and Audi Sport logos.
When getting into the cabin, the door opens to project a DTM logo on to the road; the door sills have the Audi Sport logo. The cabin features bucket seats, stainless steel pedals and flat-bottomed sports steering wheel. Red colour is seen all around the cabin – on the seat backrests, door inlays, center console and as red stitching on the seats and steering wheel.
Beneath the bonnet lies the 3.0-liter TDI turbo-diesel engine that produces 245 hp and 580 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the wheels by the 7-speed S-Tronic automatic gearbox in assistance with the quattro all-wheel drive system. This results in a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration time of 5.9 seconds with a top speed limited to 250 km/h (155 mph). Fuel consumption is claimed to be 15.87 km/l with CO2 emissions of 162 g/km.
This is the third DTM special edition produced by Audi and is priced at €74,540 in Germany.
